BEDDEGAMA   NOVELS.

Beddegama is unique among the Sinhala novels I have read. Because in the novel beddegama I see a family living a miserable life in a poor village struggling with rural living conditions.The story is based on the characters Silidu,hinnihami,baboon,punchi menika,Vederala and Arachchirala.I like Silidu, the main character here. Also here Arachchirala is the head of the village. Compared to other stories, the creator's attempt to introduce the characters is powerful. From the beginning to the end of beddegama , if flows like a tragedy.I feel that leonard may have created this story by capturing the thoughts, wishes and behavior of the villagers.

Baboon loves a beautiful woman like his little gem. Argues with Arahchirala to get her. His role is very serious. Also little manika is  a character who came up with  effort. The love in her heart is also reflected in the fact that she says she wants to marry baboon in kadamandiya. Against other stories this highlights the love that transcends poverty. Therefore, my favorite novel was beddegama.Silidu loves his children very much. Because of that love, Hinniham is angry with vederala. Because of that love, he disliked vederala and killed him.

They made a living by cultivating Chena's and spent the day with difficulty.Arahchirala was a man who frightened the people of the whole village.The author has very well pointed out the love ,poverty and decline of beddegama.The author , based on his own experience , has beautifully created the evolution of the village of beddegama.This family story in beddegama , a village lodge , has become my favorite novel.
